A Heavenly neutral palette?

Ever since I saw the pictures of the new products of the Professional Range from Budget Brand Mua Cosmetics, I've been longing to get my hands  on 'Heaven and Earth' a gorgeous neutral eyeshadow palettes, at a record price of £4.

A triumphant open bloggers event later, where all  participants were able to see 'Heaven and Earth' in action, and an overwhelming wave of rave all across the board later, and I was still not  sure whether this palette was for me. Why? I was scared it would be too shimmery for me.

My palette is a generous present from Danielle, who blogs at Madame Gourmand who kindly donated it to me and I have never wished more  than any other time to be in love with it. The shadows are utterly gorgeous, they are very soft, very pigmented but as I feared it right from  the beginning, they are too shimmery for me and I am unable to make it work. The shimmer is not chunky and is quite delicate but it still  remains too intense for me to wear the shadows confidently in the crease of my eye and beyond.

Very pretty, it could do with some darker shades. And a couple of mattes like you said!

The colors look great, but I doo agree it would be much better if there were at least some (if not all) matte hues...

One dark matte would have made this palette amazing. BUT, it's £4! I don't think you can beat that price.

I am really surprised you it too shimmery?I wear it everyday and I LOVE it and I am not even a shimmer lover, but it doesn't really come across when worn (on me)..

I think it is the best bargain ever :)

I must admit that all the shimmers have put me off buying this palette because I don't like too much shimmer above the lid either.

But -

I think you are going to love the Sleek nude palette - I have fallen in love with it (don't ask me why my Superdrug had it on the shelves early!)

It has a mix of mattes and shimmers, 8 mattes!!

I think it's so pretty, I still haven't sorted out replacing my smashed one. If you find it too shimmery as a total look, do you not think you can mix with other eyeshadows you have to get the look you're after? I do think it's a bargain at £4!

The MUA palettes are really pretty, but if you don't like shimmery shadows they're not good. Fortunately I like shimmer, but even so I'm not buying the other palettes (have just got the starry night palette). I have too many other palettes with similar shades.

I love the palette, but I don't have a problem with shimmer beyond my crease. Y'know, I could just go all shimmer on my face! Just kidding... that would be weird...

But I do like the palette, and you can't really go wrong with 12 shadows for £4!
