While the buzz is growing about Lillibet's nail polish, Butter London's Jubilee inspired creation, it's another Butter London nail colour which I would like to talk about. It's called Disco Biscuit and it was one of the 5 shades of nail polishes Butter London released in their spring summer collection 2012. What a little corker! I couldn't have chosen a more fun colour to play with to pop my Butter London cherry.
If you are new to Butter London, they are a creative and eccentric British brand born in 2005, and who have been a hit with fashion designers right from the very beginning. They don't do nail polishes, they create nail 'lacquers' with a difference: They are a 3 Free company and their lacquers are formulated without 3 toxic chemicals (Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP). Their aim is to create highly luxurious nail products at an affordable price (£12)
And luxurious they are. The bottle is very elegant and has 2 caps: an outside cap just for show and an inner one with the butter logo (a little bird with a crown on its head). No big fat awkward and view occulting brush to hold there. Why don't all polish have a cap like this? This is genius!
I first saw Disco Biscuit on fleur de force and it was love at first sight. It's a bright hot pink polish with tiny iridescent blue glitter particles. Like my favourite nail polish of 2012 so far, the one and only Fire Fantasy, Disco Biscuit's formula is very sheer so I layered it over my favourite nude polish. My photos show one coat of Gosh Nude Champagne followed by 2 coats of Disco Biscuit and I couldn't be more pleased with the result: amazing semi matte finish with a luminous starry night effect glowing as I wave my fingers in the air, like I just don't care.
There are a few places where you can get Butter London (£12) but CutECOsmetics is the only place I found on internet, where you can get it with free shipping. Woop :)
I think I've caught the bug for Butter London. Have you tried other shades from the brand, or perhaps blogged about it yourself? Feel free to leave me your links, I would love to read. Which are the must shades to have?

Never heard of Disco Biscuit (I lead a very sheltered life!!) but I love that colour, very pretty with a bit of sparkle - lovely!
Squeeeeeeeee! I was never that bothered about this one but your pictures have just changed that! And I agree that the bottle is divine, makes Butter London polishes seem so classy! PS - your writing is very smart and funny, I had a smile on my face reading this. x
I came so close to buying some Butter London polishes the other week, but £12 is a little too steep for me!

Pinks aren't really my nail colour of choice but this one is slightly tempting or at least the 2-lid design is. Truthfully though, I just had to see this because I saw the words disco biscuit. ;)
Aw god you've made me really want it :P Now i might have to buy it :(
