Sleek Saturday Series Episode 2 – Collaboration with Robyn

What's the point of owning a beautiful eyeshadow palette if you're not going to use it? None. I've got quite a few like these and I thought it was high time for me to start rediscovering some of my hidden treasures. Also Joining me this week for a Surprise Sleek Saturday Series episode is the absolute gorgeous Robyn from Stay Beautiful. I can't wait to see her look!

This week, I have been playing with a ‘very old’ Limited Edition Sleek Makeup Palette. I don’t think I had heard of Sleek Makeup when this palette was originally released. When I started to get interested in Sleek Makeup, I went to catch up on all the I-Divine palettes ever released and Safari was the first one which caught my attention and which I wanted to purchase at some point. Here it is, in its full glory.

Before playing with this palette for the purpose of this Saturday Sleek Series, I actually never touched it. I can honestly say that this is the prettiest colour assortment of all the Sleek Palettes. All the colours together are so harmonious. My only regret is that there are only 2 matte colours in the palette (the mint green and the black) and that the rest, however pretty they are are very high on the shimmer front. Shimmer is nice but it does limit the eye makeup looks I can on my eye shape. I can’t really get away with shimmery colours in the crease of my eye or past the crease. I don’t think it suits me.

And now my look. I used 5 colours from the palette to achieve my eye makeup: one gold, the  lime/khaki, the mint green, the black, and last but not least, the very pale brown.

I am glad I have ‘rediscovered’ this palette and it gave me lots of fun playing with it. I cannot help but feeling a little sad that I cant make the most of these very harmonious colours and make the most of them in more colour combinations.

Do you remember the very first Sleek Makeup Palette you have ever bought?
Missed any? Rowena from Cosmetic Candy has been collecting
them all, and swatching them, obviously :)
