Dear Innocent Veg Pots,

As I have been on a diet of soup at lunch time at work, my eyes totally lit up when I saw your cute new little veg pots in my soup aisle. I was even more delighted as they were on offer, 2 for £5 at Sainsbury's. Being a great fan of your smoothies, I decided to make the most of the offer and bought 4 different flavours.

Today, I tried  the 'Woodland Mushroom Risotto' I could not wait to try it as it looked really fresh, filling and ever so low in calories at the same time: only 260 calories for lunch, yes please!

Lunch time arrived and I was super excited to try it. To be honest, I was pretty excited at eating anything really as I was pretty starving after my 2 weetabix with skimmed milk, and canderel this morning for breakfast..  The packaging was as cute as ever if not more, complete with really friendly instructions and information about the product (lol at the instructions on how to recycle the pot) Cute by the bucket! They really went out of their way to make the product special and I also loved the artwork from Holly Cocker, and their invitation to us to send our own artwork to be features on the inside cover.

Sadly, it felt that the product was too fresh and healthy for me: Overpowering Fresh spinach leaves were fighting against peas which were also too crunchy for their own good. The cooked pearl barley replacing the rice you would typically find a risotto was piping hot too but felt too crunchy /'wholewheaty' too.
Overall, it left a very green taste in mouth (perhaps was it the spring onion as well?) and I will not repurchase it this flavour. I have 3 other flavours to try for the rest of the week and I am hoping I'll like them, as it is lovely concept and it is very filling too and for such a little amount of calories.

I've eyed these in the supermarket a few times, so it would be good to hear how you find the other 3 you got x
