I am sure you've all been here before. You are going out, meeting people, your makeup is not done, you're running late. You could do with a nice bright makeup to cheer you up and impress but you don't have the time to go experimenting with colours and elaborate cut creases. So you end up doing your saaaaaaaaaame boring eye makeup look, which you are hoping to jazz up with a pair of lashes and your *cough* bubbly personality and charisma (or cleavage / interminable legs if applicable) since there is not much time left for anything else.
Today, I present you my boring go-to look made with with probably my most used and most boring eye palette in my whole collection. Introducing my gosh trio eyeshadow in TR2 'smoky'.
This palette follows me wherever I go and is always out. It's nothing unique, nothing special but it does the job. The medium brown doubles up as eyebrow colour which I use to fill my eyebrow a bit. The very dark brown is perfect to darken a crease. I love it. Here are some obligatory swatches. See, quite boring really. I am surprised you have not fallen asleep already.
Poor little palette is looking really sorry for herself (palettes are feminine in French) so I will call it 'her' and she gives me plenty of happy moments, despite her unhappy face.
And for my go to look. The gold on the main lid is from my other favourite palette, the 120 palette (reviewed in detail here) . I would also grab the first white pencil available for my waterline, in a bid to open my eye a little bit more. Highlight would be also whatever is closer to reach: mac vanilla eyeshadow or mac blanc type eyeshadow. Black eyeliner would be also whichever eyeliner which is the closest to hand: H&M eyeliner in most cases.
I won't have time to experiment with lips either and I would grab either mac blankety or mac velvet teddy and just chuck it in the handbag, as it would probably lasts about 15 minutes or me. Blusher? what's that? A slap of foundation and I am out of the door.
Feel free to link me to your go-to look if you’re already blogged about it :) I would love to read x

Aw poor palette really does look sorry for herself, until you added the smile! I'm sure 'she' is really happy you use her so much and she's your favorite!
Hx
I like the palette a lot and I love the look you created with it :)
Awww... such a funny little post. It's a beautiful look with it though - very Kim K.

Thats not boring its your "5 mins to polished perfection" look and I love it! x
Ha ha, I love her little face! Really cute look. If I'm in a rush, it'll normally be a sweep of shadow, liner and bright/dark lipstick so I have have some colour on. Then I'll normally put blush on on the train or something!
Hahaha, adorable! I have this palette too, but mine doesn't have a face. I think I need to use it more.
I wish my eyeshadow trios had a face now, must work on that! Great post x
I like the look you created with palette.
Pretty! It's more involved/ interesting than my 'go to' look...I'm leaving the house more and more often make-up free these days :S
I have this, I've pushed it to the back of my collection! I really need to get it out now! I'm really into matte looks! x
My go to look is usually nude shadow, eyeliner (I can't cope without eyeliner), foundation, blush (I look dead without a little blush) and then if I can be bothered/ have time a bold lip.
I agree that your go to look is a little Kim K!
Aw she does look very sad! Hehe how cute! xx
