Tiggress Trio from Max Factor

Back in September, when Boots was doing an amazing 3 for 2 offer for a whole month, this little trio eyeshadow from Max Factor ended up in my basket. This is tiggress eyeshadow trio, which can be used dry or wet.

I need to confess I have never used an eyeshadow wet, I am scared of ruining it. I was hoping this would be the perfect opportunity to pop my 'wet eyeshadow cherry' but I just can't do it. I am scared I won't be able to blend the wet texture once on my eyes.

So what does it perform applied dry? It's ok. Definitely nothing to shout home about. The yellow is a nice shade but overall I was hoping the whole trio would deliver more pigmentation. I want my eyeshadow to have more punch, and sadly this screams more 'pussy cat' than 'tiggress'.

Before I fall asleep writing this review, a little picture on how it applies on the eyes.

You still made it look amazing! They're definitely not my colours though - haha I've never used an eyeshadow wet either :)

Have you tried loading up the brush then wetting it? Like with a water spray? It's a bit more time consuming but doesn't risk ruining the eyeshadow itself! :) xx

I really like the colors.... and I don't mind the pigmentation, I would surely use it wet =)

I don't usually wet it straight on the eyeshadow, I use the back of my brush to kinda crumble some into a powder and mix it with water on the back of my hand.
You are right though those colours don't really pack too much of a punch but really pretty look xx

I do the something similiar to xmisslorix's way - I use a dry brush to scrub a bit of pigment dust from the pressed shadow on a palette, and then mix it with water there.

The colours aren't that pigmented when swatches, but I must say that the way you made them work on your eyes redeems them a bit :D .

It does look very pretty or at least your camera made it look so.
I usually apply my eyeshadows wet. I like to use only one corner of the shadow for wet application. Sometimes they're a tad harder to blend that way. You can always experiment with a shadow that you don't like and was ready to be thrown away anyway.

Gosh you should def try it wet. I do this a lot, but only for the mobile lid or as a bold liner. My best tip is just to slightly dampen the brush... don't soak it or you won't be able to lift enough colour. Practice on your hand - the depth of pigmentation will be amazing in comparison!
