Wake me up before you glo glo

You are now most probably familiar with the Rimmel Wake up foundation and the wakeup concealer but have you come across the Rimmel wakeup illuminator yet? It's called instant radiance shimmer touch. I only saw this a few days ago on the Superdrug website and I couldn't wait to check it in store.

This is what they say about it:

Rimmel's Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Instantly lifts from fatigue and illuminates any part of your complexion. It is an ultra blendable cream formula enhanced with radiance pearls instantly sculpts cheeks or highlights browbones. Available in 2 ultra-sheer highlighting shades: radiant rose 002 and shimmering sand 004.

In real life the tube is tiny. It contains 14ml of product and retails for £4.99. But as soon as you put the tiniest blob on your hand, you realise on how very little you need. I felt the illuminator was extremely concentrated in product, and perhaps too much.

To be honest with you, I am not really sure how to work with this. They say that it's ultra sheer but have you seen how dark and pigmented it is? The second photo shows my attempt at blending the tiniest blob I had put on. Umm, I am not sure I can work with this. Could you?

I'm with you, I wouldn't know what to do with that! Maybe add a tiny bit of it to foundation to make it a bit more glowy?! No idea! xx

I have the foundation and I quite like it, it has good coverage but doesn't last all day. I think the Instant Radiance looks more like a cream blush than a highlighter. Think I will give these a miss. Jude x @jadlgw

I love the Radiant Rose. It's a blusher. Surely. I'd deffo use it as a blusher. NO other use for it!

I like the pink one for over blusher on the apples of my cheeks, but the other one is really dark, I'd prob look like I had warpaint on or something.
It reminds me of the highlighter that I've got from the MAC Fafi collection it was meant to be sheer and its like a bronzer x

you could use it as blush and bronzer OR use the tiniest pin drop of it and buff it really well onto the face :)

shimmering sands could be a gorgeous eyeshadow for a wash of colour all over the lid, and rose is definitely a blush!! i love the look of these :)

It's definitely not sheer! I don't know how I'd use it, I never have a clue what to do with creams. I will probably stick to my Revlon powder illuminator but I do love the Wake Me Up foundation x

I love the colours but think I'd use this more as a blush/bronzer product?

I didn't like the Wake Me Up Foundation, I have Combination/Oily skin. I do like the look of the Radiant Rose as a blush x
