A night in Monaco – Makeup Look feat. Sleek

How many eyeshadow palettes have you purchased and are sitting in your drawers left unused and unloved? If you are a makeup addict, chances are that you have quite a few like these. Our palettes are gorgeous obviously, otherwise we wouldn't have bought them but somehow we don't show them enough love, particularly the ones which are totally crazy a bit bright.

My friend Jen (from Mizzworthy) is like that and to encourage her to use her 'crazy' palettes, I have collaborated with her (and maybe a surprise guest to be confirmed) to create a makeup look using a eyeshadow palette that I've never used before. At the time of writing, I am not quite sure which palette I am using, and if the 'surprise guest' will join us as well.

I have decided to bust open my Sleek Makeup up palette part of the Mediterranean Collection which hit selected British Shops a few weeks ago. The palette is gorgeous and ever since its sneak preview a few months ago, I've been looking forward to its release with lots of anticipation.

And now for swatches.
I am not very good at describing colours so I hope the pictures will speak for themselves.

I am not too keen on HUMMING BIRD and AQUAMARINE but other than that, all the colours are gorgeous. BAMBOO is a little bit low on the pigmentation side and isn’t going to replace my beloved Mac Vanilla as a highlight colour but it’s gorgeous nonetheless. The star colours of this palette for me are KIWI ZEST,  SUNSET, MOORS TREASURE, MIDNIGHT GARDEN and my ultimate favourite MAGENTA MADNESS which is the first colour I dipped my fat finger in and was itching to use. Magenta Madness is a dark fuchsia and it’s just too gorgeous for words.

The look I’ve chosen to create is using Magenta Madness (quelle surprise) Kiwi Zest and Midnight Garden as a defining colour in the crease. On the lower lashline, midnight garden over a eye pencil from Lily Lolo, a present from a dear friend.

I would need to make a separate review on these babies but the lashes I am using are the 114p from Cosmetic Candy Shop. Here they are in their absolute gorgeousness. Almost too gorgeous to be used… almost ;) I hope the shop has it in purple!!

Lips are totally boring: Mac Blankety with a bit of Steal the Shoe lipgloss from Rimmel with blue sparkles in it, to match the lashes. I am not sure why I am bother showing, you don’t even see the sparkles on the following photo.

Blusher? I am not a blusher person. You can have it :)  That’s right. Because I didn’t have to pay for the train ticket when I buy my Monaco palette, you are nice, I got you the blusher. Click here or on the picture to be directed to the giveaway. Yeah baby ;)

Lovely haha I was doing exactly the same thing tonight apart from I whipped out my sleek original palette because it was being very neglected at the back of the palette box, I forgot how much I loved this one. Your eyes are gorgeous as always xx
