Lusting after ... Hydraluron

What? Another 'press release' from me? Believe me, I've blog posts ideas coming out of my ears, with galores of photos waiting to be published but I have been really tired in the evenings lately, with not much energy to decent blogging and reviews. So I hope you will forgive me for yet another 'informative' post.


There is a word I keep hearing about at the moment, an ingredient in skin care actually. It's Hyaluronic Acid and 'everyone' seems to want to include it in their skincare products: Superdrug BB cream (£6.99) has got it, Soap & Glory included in their 'super youthful serum' (£20) and so on and so forth...



What the heck is Hyaluronic acid and do I really need it? My google search tell me that Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a special protein that exists naturally in all living organisms. As we age (*sobs*) our body produces less hyaluronic acid, which encourages wrinkles on your face and a drier skin in general. Because of its great capacity to absorb water, Hyaluronic acid is used in many expensive skin creams and serums because of its powerful ability to plump and hydrate the skin.



Which product containing hyaluronic acid is the best? I haven't got the faintest clue, I am only waking up to the news of how beneficial hyaluronic acid in lotions and potions can be for you. Bang in a week time (June 27), Indeed Labs (the makers of Nanoblur) will be releasing a moisture boosting serum claiming to containing the world’s purest Hyaluronic Acid. It's called Hydraluron and they say it "acts as a drink for the skin, and can be applied with any moisturiser or serum to maximise the effect of your everyday skincare routine. The result is hydrated, radiant and youthful skin".

They also say "Clinical tests found that Hydraluron's moisture levels increased skin elasticity within eight weeks by 27%; the formulation is also 100% free from animal-derived materials and organic solvent remnants".

I've been to a fair few free foundation trials/matching over the last few months where I've been told 'Your skin is very dry, isn't it' so many times that I care to remember, so much that I've been developing a complex about my flaming dry and dehydrated skin. Sometimes, before going to a makeup counter, I feel like wearing a t-shirt saying tempted to try.


Like Nanoblur, Hydraluron is going to be sold exclusively in Boots at the competitive price of £24.99 (It feels like the sky is your limit for prices of serums containing hyaluronic acid). Its launch next week will coincide with my pay day, but I shall be good and will try my best to wait until the buyapowa bargain monkey offers the serum for cheaper. I hope they will anyway!


Do you own any serums containing hyaluronic acid? Any that that would like to recommend? Am I better taking hyaluronic acid oral supplements rather a topical treatment? I would love to hear what you think :) xx

Nanoblur Optical Cream: My experiences

Well, hello there :) This little garden has been left alone for so long, I can’t even see the wood for the trees or whatever the expression goes. Before a lengthy post on what the heck I have been to lately, and an overdue update, I would love to share some news with you.
