A smile in a storm: Reply from Andrea Fulerton, herself!

Just a few weeks ago, I wanted to share my experiences with 2 nails polishes from the Andrea Fulerton 'Trio Colour Layering System'. It wasn't by any means an easy review to write, my experiences with the products hadn't been positive to say the least.

I even wondered whether I should publish my post at all. I took the courage to publish them and you'd never guess what happened: Andrea Fulerton, herself, that's right, Andrea Fulerton came to read my little old blog and wanted to respond to my post. And this is her message:

Hello Liloo and ladies,
Firstly thank you for your constructive and very honest comments.  I am of course mortified that these problems have occurred and sincerely apologies for any upset or disappointment caused.  At launch we realised that the wrong brushes has been placed in some of the Trio bottles
however I was assured this had been rectified and clearly this is not the case so again thank you for letting me know. As for your comments on the formulation I tested if over two year with Europe's top manufacturer and we are looking into this [to see if a 'rogue' batch is out there]
Word can't express how disappointment I am to read your comments and I am working with my team to ensure this is all put right as soon as possible.
Best wishes
Andrea

I feel incredibly honoured and touched that Andrea Fulerton wanted to reply to little old me, especially after a review which I can imagine must have been quite hard to digest.  I don't know of many companies who would take the time to do that. I am relieved to know that the brushes which came with my very unlucky purchases were accidental. Thank you very much Andrea for getting back to me.

That seems like a very honest reply. Refreshingly free of BS. Credit to AF.

Well, isn't that nice? So glad to see brands taking comments seriously and taking the time and trouble to get back to you in a public way. Nice one.

Wow, makes a change for someone to admit their mistakes and honestly apologise. I was put off of this range because of the price and your review, maybe now I'll give it a second chance...when I get off my no buy...

Impressive, I have all the more respect for her for being so humble and honest! Beats some beauty companies... Clearly she is actually passionate about her creations, which is lovely :D xx

Its lovely that you got a reply. I am with you though on these being shoddy - I bought one of them (Rainfall I think it was called) and have never experienced such bad staining of my nails in all my years of being a polish fan. I use salon quality base coats that have always worked for me with colours far darker than the Andrea Fulerton one but twice I have had to grow out blue/green stained nails. Even if they sort it all out, I for one won't be spending anymore of my hard earned cash on these!

Your post stunned me. I tested these varnishes personally and thoroughly. So Ive been testing my Trio Rainfall on tester and myself [both hands and feet] and one of my brand team members has been using it back to back twice a week for the past 2/3 weeks too. All of us used various base coats and none of us suffered from any amount of nail staining.
My only query would be which base coat did you use as Id like to try that combo.
Sincerely
Andrea Fulerton
